How we do things at LMA
Lessons ON SITE
Liberty Music Academy is a tuition based academy, where families pay in advance for each month's lessons (our consistent monthly tuition is due at the top of each month). Lessons are available to students ages 5 and up. Each month of instruction taught at our facilities includes private lessons, where students meet one-on-one with their instructor, and one performance class, where, in lieu of their private lesson, students meet in group classes to discuss stage etiquette and perform repertoire. In addition to private lessons and Performance Classes, LMA offers each student a range of seasonal opportunities including recitals, showcases, ensembles, and summer camps where students are able to expand on their musical education. At LMA, we believe that all of these aspects of musical growth are essential to a student's success as a well-rounded musician.
GUITAR INSTRUCTOr (on-site)
Ryan has been cultivating his craft as a musician since first picking up the guitar at age 9. Now, with a degree in Commercial Guitar from Belmont University, he has over a decade of experience in live performance, studio recording, and private music education. Ryan's goal in lessons is to provide each of his students with a well-rounded and comprehensive knowledge of not just their instrument, but music-making and playing in general.
Bass/DRUM INSTRUCTOR (on-site)
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from University of Miami's Frost School of Music (and being awarded Outstanding Senior for Music Production), Chandler now specializes in drums & bass and has a strong passion for one-on-one music education & band mentorship. He has played at venues such as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, been featured on recordings with 100k+ plays on Spotify, and contributed musically to the Miami Film Festival. When not teaching, he regularly plays in downtown Nashville on South Broadway.
voice INSTRUCTOR (on-site)
Originally from Chicago, Katherine moved to Nashville in 2013 to attend Belmont University for Commercial Music Performance and has been singing and teaching locally and nationally ever since. Besides traveling around the country with numerous artists, Katherine also maintains a seasonal residency at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island as their orchestra’s lead vocalist. She has worked with students of all ages, teaching both in a classroom and private environment, and recently received her level 1 and level 2 certification in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method.
piano INSTRUCTOR (on-site)
Utilizing his Bachelor of Music from Belmont University, Ian Mannino specializes in commercial piano performance, film composition, and music production. With over a decade of experience on stages and screens across the country, Ian believes there is no greater feeling than performing. Hoping to share the experience that is music, Ian strives to teach his students to never stop learning, always have fun, and to challenge themselves wherever they can.
Lessons IN HOME
Liberty Music Academy's In-Home Lessons, launched in 2023, offers families in Brentwood and its surrounding areas a convenient lesson option to fit any busy schedule. Rather than attending weekly lessons on-site at our facilities, students enrolled in LMA In-Home Lessons receive top-notch instruction within the comfort of their own homes from our specially equipped team of in-home teachers. LMA In-Home Lessons is a tuition based program where families pay in advance for each month's lessons (our consistent monthly tuition is due at the top of each month). Lessons are available to students ages 5 and up. Each month consists of weekly private lessons where students meet one-on-one with their instructor, with additional group Performance Classes available to cash in at any time with our Performance Class Credits.
